It's in the works. We have over 12k members and 150,000 visitors. We are testing a new forum and should be activating it in the next week.

I have read through these past threads and still don't have a clear answer on why statistics on membership are not posted on the website.  I have experience in sales and marketing and when promoting something success breeds success.  Also, in my opinion one of the main things that are discouraging in politics is the inability to be transparent.  I guess I just don't understand why not post statistics like the following (it can only encourage people):

Number of Gooh Members

Number of Gooh Members by State

Number of Gooh Members by District in each State

Provide a list of members on website in order to start local Gooh chapters.  You could have something like www.linkedin.com where you can have Groups (chapters).

Clancy - as noted we are here and continuing to work, but we are dependent on patriots like you to spread the word and help launch the revolution. We made a concerted push at the start of the year and had the opportunity to tell our story in 50 cities via talk radio. It was a great start, but we needed a national opportunity to get the numbers we need.

Consider our activity at this point as planting the seeds of the revolution. We'll make another push for the 2010 election, but we have been intentionally laying low when we did not get where we needed this year.

We hope you are telling everyone you know about GOOOH. We gain new members daily, and we'll start again in 2010 with thousands of members, not the ten that we started with this year.

jrclancyjr - Hello, I am also a new member and enthusiastic to spread the word and hungry to debate all the questions. I think now is the time for people to participate and establish visibility and also to established more detailed positions on all the areas they may encounter in the House. I, personally, will never "hold office" but to participate and help find a better class of politician...

If forced to, I might find value in moderating a focus group in the selection process, but I might be to strict or aggressive. Is water-boarding allowed during the selection process? 

The simple answer is, we are waiting.  Most of us know that this will take time, and the first attempt did not go as well as was hoped.  This will be a long term project, and I hope that the country will last long enough for this to succeed.  I did write to W&J when they said the site was down to make sure that they knew about the different address.  I also mention to people that GOOOH is out here whenever they complain about the politicians.

I can't speak for everyone, but since there were very few people posting here, I was taking a break from it for a while.  I'm still trying to spread the word, I just wasn't bugging people here. :)

I heard about GOOOH being mentioned very briefly on the Walton and Johnson Morning Show yesterday morning. All they said was that they need to get ahold of Tim. Not much else. So I took it upon myself to dig alittle farther and find out what is going on. First impression.......WOW!!!! This is the shot in the arm that this country needs! And I signed up today and can not wait to get started promoting this idea!!!!

1 question I do have is I noticed not much activity going on in the forum. Now I have not read through all the threads yet and perhaps my answer is in there, but why the lack of activity? It would seem now would be the perfect time to start getting the message across with the president race bringing poltics to the front and the economy in the crapper now is the time to strke!

People are looking for answers....looking for hope....and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel.

I want to get started on this TODAY!

On the refund comment below, only four donors have requested refunds to date. We received numerous comments from those who had contributed wishing us well. We're in this for the long haul, and will make another run in 2010. We'll conserve our funds between now and then, including the new donations trickling in. The most important thing at this point is to continue building our base of supporters.

Do what you can to spread the word! In 2008 we started with 12 supporters. In 2010, we'll start with thousands!!!

You know, it might be more encouraging to others...to have a daily or weekly user statistics
