Re: 2010 Comments

Our plan is to begin posting membership numbers (and locations) once we reach 500,000 visitors. We are working on maps so we can start displaying Events, Meetup Groups, and when we get there, members by congressional district.

Bear with us - we have a plan.

Re: 2010 Comments

Hello from Raleigh, NC.  I'm going to spread the word in the triangle area.

How many people are currently members?  I would love to see a member counter and watch progress as people join.  I hope we can gather enough support to pull this off in 2010.

I am also working with Independence Caucus (http://ourcaucus.com/), which I believe could provide valuable support to GOOOH candidates by exposing all the special interest money given to incumbents.

I'll be back in Mississippi tomorrow night, 5/8, speaking at the Christus Victor Church at 7 p.m. Please come join us - we're expecting over 100 others who, like you, are ready for change.

I look forward to meeting you.

Re: 2010 Comments
Hi, I'm in south Mississippi and just found out about the movement. I'm an avid liberty minded conservative and would like to get something going. Anyone else in the area interested, I would enjoy hearing from you! This is something that is long overdue! We have to work hard to take our country back!

Re: 2010 Comments

I (Tim C) will be in Biloxi, Mississippi on Monday, 4/27 and driving back through Louisiana on Tuesday evening, the 28th. Let me know if someone wants to organize a meetup Monday (MI) or Tuesday (LA) night and I'll stop in.

I will be in Mississippi to film a 30 minute segment on GOOOH for the show "That's What I Like About the South"

Re: 2010 Comments

RSS,

A good place to start is through Meetup.com.  Here is a link to the GOOOH network goooh.meetup.com.  The red pegs are active groups, and the white pegs are cities in which people are interested.  Also, e-mail Tim directly.  He may be able to put you in touch with active members in your area.  From there, you should be able start a group and spread the word.

The Meetup groups are growing.  When I joined the Houston group, the map pegs were far less in number than I noticed tonight.  Everyone needs to keep up the fight.  American Patriots had a good show yesterday.  Let's keep the fire and drive to evict the career politicians.

Re: 2010 Comments

how do I find interested groups for GOOOH in my area?  Do you have a list for each state?  I want to network with others and get the word out.  I want America to go back to 'we the people'

Re: 2010 Comments

John;

This is a grass roots revolution. Take charge in your area. We have thousands of members in Louisiana, and several have expressed interest in meeting. If you set up a Meetup Group, we'll send a note to everyone in the state. There is interest in every part of the country. What we need are leaders to step up and organize.

Help us evolve the system. It is evolving based on members just like you. With your help, we will retake our government.

Re: 2010 Comments

John,

Do exactly what activists have done over the last 50 years.  They are called activists because they act.  Groups, like Weather Underground, realized that going under ground was the way to accomplish their goals to bring on a communist nation.  These people now shape young minds and control most broadcasting.

You may live in a rural area, but that is a perfect place to generate some of our best supporters.  Rural areas still have a sense of community.  If I learned anything from Ike, it is that people do not interact as they did when I was growing up in NW Louisiana.  Parents would stand outside, talk and watch kids play.

You must take matters into your own hands.  If you are as determined as I, you would tell everyone you know.  I also call radio shows and e-mail constitutional rights lobbying groups.  Talk to people in depth about what we are trying to create.  For example, I was speaking with an old friend today.  I told him about GOOOH and e-mailed his some basic information with the webiste.  He wrote me back about how he worked in DC for the RNC for 5 years and would have a problem breaking ties.  My response in a nutshell, he did not have to break ties.  GOOOH is non-partisan.  My thinking is that our current political parties will move into our voting system, but only by force from voters.  The only difference is they will no longer control the money, which translates into control of the candidate.

Inteligent conversations are key.  There were 2 posts yesterday from attorneys.  Basically, they could not support a group that proposes to exclude some candidates.  My response?  They should be the biggest supporters.  Instead, they were offended by something that pertained to them.  Do not get offended.  Realize if you object to something, your voice is heard through GOOOH.  There are no special interest groups telling you to take it or leave it.

The best effort is for you to not stop talking about GOOOH.  If someone objects, tell them they should be the biggest supporter.  You will find they seem puzzled, and for good reason.  People have gravitated to special interest groups, which has fragmented both major parties.  Thus, you have party leaders and special interest groups choosing the candidate for which you vote.  Instead, GOOOH provides you the ability to choose the candidate for which you will vote.

Next, start your own meetup group, or join one that may already be formed in the Stick (if you live close enough).  Get people talking and keep coming to this site.

Trenton

I do not live in Houston but in a small town in Louisiana north of New Orleans and east of Baton Rouge. I guess what I would like to know is besides the media how are we getting the word out about this movement. Right now we are heading into the fall parish festivals around here and that is a forum that EVERY polotican uses to kiss babies and steal wallets!

To what levels are we encouraged to get the word out? And what info are we encouraged to give out? Personaly with what is going on right now this I think this is the time to make a big push to get new blood and get the purpose out there!
