I think Cayla is moving in the right direction. I would take that entire questionaire and re-organize it so that all the questions were grouped under the Constitutional power they best relate to. I'm sorry but GOOOH is turning into a mish-mash of individual opinions instead of a group re-framing the principles we should govern my based on the realities today. I will state once again that the questionaire is a good basis for a filter but it is not the basis for a contract. The contract needs to be based on a finite number of clearly stated principles that will best assist this country in getting on back on track.

Hear! Hear! or is it Here! Here!
Either one is right. I'm all for the Constitution.

I have gone through the questionair and answered all the questions. Some I say yes, some I say no. The question I would ask my self is, am I answering honestly? I believe I am as far as how I feel about the question at the time I answered it. I may change my opinion at any time in the next few months and that is my right as well as it is every ones right.
So the real question should be, am I an honest person and are the people running for office also honest? Wheather they be repub, dem, indie, const, liber, or goooh the only thing that really matters is that they are honest, and honesty is in short supply lately.
Have we seen a politician lately that is honest? Do we have a system in place now that demands honesty? We have a choice between whoever throws a hat into the ring and whoever throws a hat into the ring. With goooh at least I can sit across a table from another human being and ask myself if I think that person is honest, and that in my book is worth firing all the politicians in congress.
All the sugestions that have been presented here are all well and good. Some better than others in my opinion and some I would very much like to see included or removed.
I believe I must look at the big picture and remember how our nation is being run and also see that there are very few paths open to us to make a difference. Goooh is one path and it may have it's flaws, but it is a chance to return this country to what it should be.
I wish that more people would look to the future and see where this country is going and finally realize that now is the time to reverse this trend. Goooh is a fluid movement. A true grass roots movement that I believe can not be subverted like the tea party was. With honest people in the goooh system I believe it will flow in the right direction. Not all will like all that happens, but right now with the way things are, we all hate or should hate what is happening. Lets come together and make a difference.

It looks like some of these have been addressed already, but these were my suggestions to add to the quiz:
Will you vote to abolish the Federal Reserve Bank which has been robbing the American People for over a century now?
Will you vote to restore a Gold/Silver/Commodity Standard for US currency?
Should people on welfare have the right to vote?
Will you help make lobbying a talk-only proposition with the introduction of money being made illegal?

Great idea (stolen from Warren Buffet)on how to balance the budget. It's so simple but would require an amendment to get it done so it probably won't happen. It would simply state that anytime the congress lets the YTD budget deficit get ever 3% of YTD GDP ALL members of Congress and the Senate become ineligible to participate in the next election. Set a start date giving the current members a year or so to clean up their mess or their out. Each Congress has one year to get within compliance if the previous congress has been replaced. Senators would have a couple chances to redeem themselves since they are in office six years but it will get the job done and I don't think they'll want to get too close to that 3% so they might actually balance the budget or create a surplus.
Politicians are like diapers and like diapers need to be changed frequently and for the same reason, after a while the begin to stink. GOOOH is potty training for congress, it gets rid of the diapers.

How about this: Every member of congress shall confirm in writing that his or her vote has expressed the will of the people of his or her own district and that he or she has not miss-represented the context of legislation voted upon.

GOOOH Reps will do this by signing their candidate contract which insures that they will vote according to their questionnaire which was used to get them nominated and elected.

I get that part of it. I am talking about future politicians that are not a part of the goooh system and there will be some. We can not stop at just electing people to congress and think that things are going to be magically fixed. We are going to have to right some of the wrongs that have been prepetrated on the american people with laws and possibly amendments to ensure that future generations do not fall into the same fate that we are faced with today. That is what we are here to do and if we fail by thinking that things will be ok just because we are here we have already failed.

I think that once everyone realizes how successful the GOOOH process is at picking and holding candidates accountable it will be impossible for anyone that is not a GOOOH candidate to get elected. After GOOOH saturates Congress there may be two GOOOH candidates running against each other in some districts one conservative and one liberal and they will both be held to the same standards which will keep our Reps under control and keep the power with "We the People" and out of the politician's hands. That's the beauty of GOOOH it's nonpartisan so running a liberal and a conservative candidate is totally possible. It will also get people more involved with the election process and prevent the mess we have in DC from ever happening again.

We need a question on our questionnaire that covers this.

The federal government has control over immigration law for the United States. By not correcting this mis-application of the 14th Amendment, the funds that state and local governments must provide to anchor babies amounts to a virtual tax on U.S. citizens to subsidize illegal aliens.

Disrespect for the rule of law: Congress, by failing to act on legislation aimed at correcting the interpretation of citizenship by birth, in effect rewards law-breakers and punishes those who have chosen to follow the rules and immigrate legally.

I just finished a good book by Lawrence Lessig, "Republic, Lost". He details the corrupting forces and sources of special interest money on Congress. Then, at the end, he details how the voters could mount an effort for a constitutional amendment to have campaigns financed by public money. If you haven't read this, you could skip directly to the end (the solutions part) and get the meat of the book.

I'd like to see a question For or Against public financing of Congressional elections added to the list of questions GOOOH candidates need to answer.

I know some will object to a Constitutional amendment, but I believe this is important so that Congress can't easily remove it.

A while back I wrote how I would trust a farmer, a truck driver or almost anyone without a college degree because they at least have a work ethic. We are at a crossroads in this Republic will we allow the socialist progressives to destroy the free market and liberty or will we true Americans come up with real solutions that will return the government to their pre progressive era levels. It is amazing how the current so called educators have produced the ignorance demonstrated by the OWS protestors, ignorance levels that the progressive socialist only hoped for back in the late 1840’s and now thrive on.
My son does odd jobs for a farmer up the road from our house, a real nice gentleman who runs an organic operation. When my son finished his work we sat down in the now unused milk house and discussed some of the major problems with the current administrations. The fact that the federal government has tripled the debt, the total disregard for constitutional law and the doubling of fuel prices not to mention the extra cost added by burdensome and for the most part unnecessary EPA regulations to trucking and farming operations since 2008. Candidates that can prevent this further don’t appear to be an option. He brought up a very interesting proposal that could just be the key to saving our great republic.
Mr. Marchese proposed the following; a referendum that would limit the maximum contribution by any pact, organization, group or individual to $5.00 or $10.00 to any political candidate also term limits for all congressional seats, 2 terms for senators and 4 terms for house members. Another provision of this referendum would limit the amount any candidate could loan their own campaign would be $500.00 to $1000.00. Along with ideas like GOOOH we can undo the damage of progressive revisionist history and limit the power of all elected representatives.
This would immediately end lobbyist and lobbing of politicians by special interest, allowing the common man to hold the positions in the House of Representatives as was the intentions of our founders also the financial limits would pretty much put an end to major contributions from special interest and parties with less than ethical agendas. The new term limits would allow for an end to legislators making a lifelong career out of these positions and assure that the will of the people is truly being implemented, the financial limit would allow like minded candidates a chance to fill these seats without having to be millionaires to do so.
Wall Street and big business would be powerless to influence politicians. The unions, super pacts and lobbyist will no longer be able to buy an election or issue. The false prophesies of social anything and class warfare that has been taught in schools across this country can be replaced by teachings of how to be the statesmen, craftsman and citizens that we are suppose to be. The federal and state governments will be bound by the very documents that they now disregard. We the People can return to the industrious and inventive people that built the world we now live in.Tim Cobb
