Basic human rights can only be granted, or denied in a totalitarian society.

I honestly do believe that.

What is the reason for our government to regulate any part of any issue concerning basic human rights? To protect the rights of one group over another? Is this not what most minority groups want? To protect the rights of one group over another? What about the other group? Are we not now regulating that other group and tramping on their rights? Is it not every persons basic human right to have an opinion about another group of people? When a person is told how to think about another human, is this not the very definition of discrimination? Passing laws and creating regulations to favor one group over another is creating discrimination. I thought that we as a country wanted to move past all that and become one people.
There will always be bigots in every corner of society, that is just a fact of life. If any group of people truly want to be free and equal to everyone else then you must stop trying to regulate yourself an advantage and learn to accept the fact that, you may not be liked by some, merely tolerated by others, and accepted by the rest. That goes for all sides of any issue. It is time that our government stopped creating laws and regulations that favor any one group over another. We already have laws that protect all people against things like murder, assault, rape, vandalism and so on. Why then do we need laws to prevent a persons feelings from being hurt.
What I believe is that there are some in this country that need to pull themselves out of their own misery and learn to be a part of this great nation.

Basic human rights can only be granted, or denied in a totalitarian society.

Illegal is Illegal society places rules and regulations to follow and when you allow certain minority groups special rights then you become a society of favortism. For instance illegal immigration is against the law, why? because you circumvent the systematic process of law governing a great nation and its social responsibilities to all mankind. Is it fair to those which choose the process of immigration into society? Is it fair to all racist of people seeking entry? Is it fair to American citizens to lose their jobs to illegal entry? When you tear down the fabric of society that governers a people you basically lead down a slope of no return because if you can break 1 law you can break 2 and so and so forth. If you come here illegally you will need to commit fraud to obtain a Drivers license for false idenfication, then you will need to break the law again by taking a social security card thus committing fraud again. The you will need to lie on all applications, technally a contract. committing breach of contract. If the employer knows and assist in all fraudulant activity then he to becomes a criminal subject to prosecution under the law. However, if we make exceptions for some and not all are you really being this so called "Passing laws and creating regulations to favor one group over another is creating discrimination"...time to go through the proper channels of immigration. denying entry to some is a process determined to protect all of the citizens of the United States and their rights.

Absolutely. Could not agree more. We have laws that govern the citizens of this country as I have listed a couple in my statement. However, "What I believe" is not about illegal law breakers. I wrote that in response to all the regulations and laws that have been passed recently that tend to drive a wedge between the different factions dividing this country. I say again, 'basic human rights can only be granted or denied in a totalitarian society'.

I agree with you completely on this point with just one little correction - human rights are not granted, they are inborn, so they can be protected rather than granted... or humiliated.

A totalitarian society controls every aspect of your life. That is when your rights can be granted and that is where this country is going. so we do agree.
